Tamala means travellers in Mandingo language.It describes the origin of the musicians: Guinea, Gambia, Nigeria, Senegal, South-Africa and it's meant to reflect their musical philosophy and direction-musique sans frontieres-.They are: Salifou Sylla, who was their musical director, Suleyman Compo, Thebe Lipere, Lamin Fatty, Pape Thiam, Ken Emegasim, Jally Kebba Susso.

Drumzkool is a child-centred group with ages from 7-16 formed in 2006. This album is dedicated to memory of Salif Sylla, who worked with them the last 4 months of his life. They had built a deep relationship and had many plans for the future. If you want to hear what an amazing standard these children have achieved this album is for you.
